Luxury Holiday Cottages in Devon Set in an area of outstanding natural beauty close to the World Heritage Coast in Devon. Old Mounthill is located in beautiful open countryside overlooking the axe valley just outside the charming town of Colyton.
The picturesque fishing villages of Beer and Branscombe are close by and the historic town of Lyme Regis is within easy reach. Shute Barton, owned by the National Trust (limited opening), is just down the road. Honiton, renowned for its antique shops is nearby, also there are three golf courses within easy driving distance and there is excellent walking all around Colyton is only three miles from the sea. The town enjoys a beautiful location in the Axe Valley where the rivers Axe and Coly meet. The area is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with rolling hills and lush green fields and woods. Cycle routes and the East Devon Way
for walkers pass through Colyton.Old Mounthill is a small and exclusive development of four Devon holiday cottages, sympathetically converted from an 18th century farmhouse, offering two, three and four bedroom accommodation. Each cottage is renovated to the highest standard, the interiors are stunning with light interiors and hand built kitchens.
Numerous character features can be found in all four cottages, which include exposed beams, detailed fireplaces and beautiful slate, pine or oak floors to most rooms.
All our holiday cottages have sealed unit timber double glazing and gas fired central heating and for those who enjoy a log fire each cottage also comes with a log burner and a basket of logs. Enormous care has been taken over every detail, with fitted cupboards in each bedroom, beautifully designed light fittings and York stone on the terraces.
Old Mounthill offers a peaceful and relaxing location, set in an idyllic rural location.
A perfect base to explore the local towns, beaches, river and coastal walks, pubs, restaurants, and visitor attractions.
Pets are welcome at our holiday cottages and all the cottages are non-smoking.
