There's great country, coastal and level riverside walking to enjoy together with fast developing cycle routes to suit all abilities. No matter when you visit, each season has its own beauty and charm.

Colyton itself has wonderful level riverside walks. Sea egrets, Mallards, and, if you are lucky, a kingfisher. Cycle routes and The East Devon Way for walkers pass through Colyton.

Within a short distance of Colyton, the newly granted status of World Heritage Site for the East Devon and Dorset coast, offers a range of unique features which spans 185 million years of earth history. The landslips, beaches, bays, and cliffs 'probably unparalleled anywhere else' provide a near continuous sequence of rocks from the Jurassic and Cretaceous periods; this extensive site offers a chance to walk through time.

Take a return ticket from Seaton Seaton ElectricTramway, runs between Seaton and Colyton
Colyton tram station is a level walk of ¾ mile from the church and town centre

An Oliver 500, the rarest tractor at the annual run The Colyton Vintage Tractor Run
Staged annually on the last bank holiday in May.
The tractors are on show until 11.00am in Wheelers Yard at the Road Green end of Colyton.
After touring the town, they set of for a 3 hour drive through the villages. The funds raised are donated to charity. For information about the Vintage Tractor Group phone the secretary:
